By Air

• Kullu-Manali Airport (Bhuntar - KUU): This is the nearest airport, located approximately 50 km from Manali. Regular flights operate from Delhi and Chandigarh. From the airport, you can hire a pre-paid taxi for a roughly 1.5 to 2-hour drive to Manali.
• Chandigarh International Airport (IXC): A major gateway located 310 km away. It offers wider connectivity across India. From here, you can continue your journey via a private cab (approx. 6-8 hours) or a Volvo bus.
• Indira Gandhi International Airport, Delhi (DEL): The primary international hub. Most participants traveling from abroad or South India find it convenient to land here and take an overnight Volvo to Manali.

By Road

The road journey to Manali is a transition from the plains into the winding heart of the mountains.

• From Delhi (approx. 530 km): A popular choice for many. Luxury Volvo and Mercedes buses depart daily from ISBT Kashmiri Gate between 9:00 AM and 10:00 PM, arriving in Manali in 11-13 hrs.
• From Chandigarh (approx. 270 km): Many buses originating in Delhi pass through Chandigarh (Sector 43 Bus Stand). The drive takes about 7 to 9 hours via the Kiratpur-Nerchowk four-lane highway.

By Rail

There is no direct rail link to Manali. The most convenient railway stations are:

• Chandigarh Railway Station: Well-connected to all major cities in India.
• Ambala Cantt: Another major junction located about 340 km from Manali.

From either station, the journey must be completed by road (bus or taxi).
